Serving El Cajon, CA

El Cajon Mitsubishi is proudly located in El Cajon, California on El Cajon Boulevard. The city of El Cajon was founded in 1912 and over the past 103 years has grown into a bustling city. Just a short drive from San Diego, there’s plenty do around El Cajon, both in the city limits and in surrounding areas. The city is home to 17 parks, seven community centers, two libraries and a performing arts center.

On top of the recreational things to do around El Cajon, the city hosts multiple events throughout the year. One of the biggest events is America on Main Street which takes place every year on Main Street between Magnolia and Claydelle Avenues. America on Main Street is an all day event and is fun for the whole family. This year’s event takes place on May 16 and coincides with Armed Forces Day. At America on Main Street you’ll find four outdoor stages with continuous live entertainment, a ferris wheel, games and crafts for the kids, a chili cook-off, and the Taste of America. The Taste of America features American food, ethnic food, crafts and displays to represent the diverse citizens of El Cajon.

May isn’t the only time downtown has something exciting going on. Every week you’ll be able to find something to do. On Wednesdays, in April through October, the Cajon Classic Cruise Car Show spreads out over several blocks bringing classic and modern cars out on display. The car show is attended by over 50,000 people each year. The cars aren’t the only thing to see, you’ll also find live entertainment, street vendors, and all of the downtown shops and restaurants.

On Fridays, in May through September, Dinner & a Concert takes places on the Prescott Promenade. Each week a new local band will perform from 6-8 PM, and the city plans for each genre to be represented to please all listeners.

El Cajon also has a rich history full of many notable people. One of those people is Olaf Wieghorst, a well known painter. Wieghorst was well known for his portraits of horses and scenes of the nineteenth century American West. He lived in El Cajon for 44+ years, and a museum featuring his art is open Tuesday through Saturday 10-3 in El Cajon.

At El Cajon Mitsubishi we’re proud and excited to be a part of such an exciting city. Whenever you need a new or used car, stop by and see us! We also offer service on all makes and models and are focused on giving you the best experience.
